    Packaging Supplier Site Evaluation
The Packaging Supplier Site Evaluation document is a primary component of the Target Packaging Program. This document is
used during the on site visit to evaluate and potentially certify a packaging resource to execute Target packaging.
    Evaluation Requirements
This evaluation is to be completed by an authorized GMI Ltd. representative on behalf of Target Corporation.
    Standard Evaluation Procedure
This evaluation document is divided into three primary evaluation categories: Prepress, Press and Post Press. Each category is
divided further into subcategories relating to specific capabilities within each category.
The final score is determined through the scores assigned to each subcategory. Each subcategory is measured and scored utilizing
five standard evaluation criterion: Documentation, Maintenance, Operator Capability, Performance, and Training.
The evaluation criterion within each subcategory is evaluated and graded utilizing a 0-3 scale. Each subcategory’s score is
calculated as an average of the numerical grades applied to the five standard evaluation criteria within each subcategory.
    Standard Evaluation Criteria Score Values
    3 - Critical defect
2 - Major defect; Intent to meet compliance
1 - Minor defect; Compliant, with needed improvements
    0 - Fully compliant
    Full Certification Status
Suppliers who achieve Full Certification Status are approved to execute Target Packaging without restrictions, provided they adhere
to designated Target workflow and specification requirements.
In order to achieve Full Certification Status, a Supplier must meet the following scoring requirements during the on site evaluation:
    1. Supplier must obtain a composite score of 1.00 or less for each subcategory.
    2. Supplier must not obtain any Critical Errors in any subcategory. A Critical Error would be listed as a “3” within any of the standard
    evaluation criterion throughout the evaluation.
    Certification Pending
If a supplier fails to achieve the requirements needed to meet Full Certification Status, a Supplier may qualify for Certification
Pending Status for a limited time. Certification pending status enables a Supplier to execute Target packaging provisionally until
they reach Full Certification Status. The Certification Pending Status scoring will be limited to three standard criteria for each
subcategory: Maintenance, Operator Capability, and Performance.
In order to achieve Certification Pending Status, the Supplier must meet the following scoring requirements:
    1. Supplier must obtain a composite score of 1.50 or less for each subcategory.
    2. Supplier must not obtain any Critical Errors in any subcategory. A Critical Error would be listed as a “3” in the three standard
evaluation criteria evaluated for each subcategory throughout the evaluation.
